Photonizer is tested thoroughly to ensure the greatest quality possible. Tests are performed on small and huge albums activating the functionality of Photonizer.
Main goals of this test is keeping Photonizer:
- free from crashes and memory leaks;
- free from problems that block the proper use of it;
- low on memory usage;
- easy and fast.
Although most problems are found before updates of Photonizer are published, there can always be a problem. That is why I ask people to report problems that they might encouter. Problems with high priority are solved within a few days and updates will be published on this site.
Wishlist?
Many users share their thoughts with me about how to make Photonizer more useful. Their and of course your ideas too, are most important. That is why I maintain a wishlist with new feautures.
As a result of that the wishlist grows and grows. Some features will be definitely added in a next version. This is the wishlist today:

- searching for previously created html albums
- selecting from a list of words in generated internet albums which will show thumbnails of which descriptions contain the selected word
- selecting from a list of photo filenames in generated internet albums and showing that photo directly
- offering the choice of selecting the browser to view html albums in case multiple browsers are installed
- adding a button on the html tab for setting everything to default
- adding a feature for selecting certain photos not to be included in html output (version 2005 - 1.13.0.0)
- limiting length of texts in html in order to keep the lay out correct (version 2005 - 1.4.0.0)
- adding generic support for multiple languages
- providing translations for other languages
- easy and fast labeling of photos
- generating a list of photos which have no information attached to them (version 2005 - 1.4.0.0 - 'show' button added)
- setting the folder in tab 'available photos' to the folder of the album after opening and creating an album (version 2005 - 1.2.0.0)
- activating tab 'available photos' after creating a new album (version 2005 - 1.2.0.0)
- storing location of photos (drive and path) relative to the location of the album (can be set on or off)
- grouping objects into groups
- removing photos from an album which do no longer exist on the hard drive (version 2005 - 1.4.0.0 - 'show' and 'remove' button added)
- visualizing which photos have no information attached to them (version 2005 - 1.4.0.0 - 'show' button added)
- removing album and thumbnails with one button from the hard drive (version 2005 - 1.13.0.0 - extra button in recently used albums tab)
- refreshing file lists when changes are made in explorer
- creating, renaming and removing folders in all lists that contain folder lists (version 2005 - 1.19.0.0 - right click on folders)
- ctrl/shift selection in photo list in tab 'available photos' (version 2005 - 1.8.0.0)
- using only the folder that the user has selected in tab 'available album' for adding photos
- rotating photos and thumbnails in steps of 90 degrees and saving them as jpg
- extending file and folder management with folders like 'My documents (version 2005 - 1.19.0.0)
- adding an icon and/or text indicating what Photonizer is doing in case of activities that take a long time to accomplish
- searching on (a part of) a name or location of a photo (version 2005 - 1.4.0.0 - extra checkbox and input field in search tab)
- adding automatic generation of thumbnails for newly added photos after the first time of creating thumbnails
- showing number of photos in slide show and the number and filename of the photo being displayed (version 2005 - 1.13.0.0)
- sorting the photos in tab page 'photos in album' by means of an extra button
- remembering each windows previous position and size
